Optical Department

We want you to love your glasses! We want you to be so happy with the frame and lenses that you just have to tell your friends and family about them.

Based on your lifestyle and visual demands we will carefully select the best lenses and options from the hundreds available today. We have access to any lens style on the market and know which will work the best for your specific visual demands.

Frames

Our frames range from traditional to contemporary, conservative to glamorous.  We stock over 1,100 frames and are constantly updating our fresh mix of the latest styles — if you don't see exactly what you like, we'll try to find it for you. (see Optical Department Links to the manufacturers of some of the frames we carry)

Spectacle Lenses

We work with labs all over the United States to provide you with the latest lens technology available. Single vision, progressive lenses, trifocal and progressive lenses are all available in:

  • High index materials: make lenses thinner and lighter weight.
  • Transitions lenses: adjust to the brightness of your surroundings.
  • Progressive lenses: we'll fit you in one of the excellent lens designs available.
  • Scratch resistant and antireflective coatings: we offer the latest and best to protect your lenses and help with night driving and cosmetic appeal.

There has never been a better time to be a spectacle lens wearer with the new lens technologies available.  (see Optical Department Links for more information about lenses)

Sunglasses

Everyone, including children, should protect their eyes from harmful UV rays with quality sunglasses.  We have a large inventory of active wear, designer sunglasses, prescription sunglasses and magnetic clip-ons that are fresh and modern to fit any lifestyle.  You'll be ready for the golf course or the red carpet!  (see Optical Department Links for a list of our suppliers)

Sport and Safety Eyewear

According to The Coalition to Prevent Sports Eye Injuries, more than 600,000 eye injuries related to sports occur each year in the United States. More than 90% of these injuries can be prevented with the use of appropriate protective eyewear. Sports participants using "street wear" (corrective eyewear or sun wear that does not conform to ASTM standard F803) are at more risk of eye injury than participants using no eye protection at all.

More than 800,000 work-related eye injuries occur annually, according to a 2007 report from The Vision Council of America. Safety eyewear can prevent most injuries. So whether you're working on the job or in your backyard, let us help you protect your eyes with safety eyewear. (see Optical Department Links for a list of our suppliers)

Computer Eyewear

If you spend lots of time working on a computer you are at risk of suffering from Computer Vision Syndrome (CVS). CVS has become more prevalent than carpal tunnel syndrome and is estimated to affect 75 million computer users in the United States. We can help you deal with CVS using prescription eyewear. (see Optical Department Links for a list of our suppliers)
